Join us to celebrate 25 years of Ladies First!

2024 marks 25 amazing years of Ladies First. We are extremely excited to celebrate and reflect on all the group has accomplished with our alumni this spring. The majority of the information on this page is targeted at Ladies First alumni, however if you are a Ladies First family member or just a fan, we would still love to see you on April 6th! If you are a Ladies First alumni and plan on attending the 25th Anniversary Showcase and weekend events, please fill out this form no later than MARCH 14TH:

If you are an alumni who will be visiting us this year, please join this GroupMe that we will utilize for quick communication during the weekend. For those unfamiliar, GroupMe is an app that can be downloaded on all mobile devices and acts as a mass messaging platform. This is optional but encouraged in the case of questions, directions, etc.

There is a live attendees list forming for alumni to see who is planning on attending. This link will be updated weekly.

Friday, April 5th, 7-9PM

Alumni Welcome Mixer & Optional Bar Crawl

Join us for an Ladies First only welcome mixer to kick off our weekend together! There will be get-to-know-you bingo, snacks, and plenty of time to catch up with old friends. This time is specifically dedicated to creating a strong bond with our current group, so please, NO PLUS ONES. This one is for the ladies! This event will be held in the union, right outside the Whittenberger Auditorium. We will have LF members roaming to ensure you find the space.

After the mixer, all are welcome to participate in a planned bar crawl! Ladies First and Indiana University are not affiliated with said bar crawl, but we encourage alumni to continue spending time together after our mixer concludes. More details to follow regarding this event, so please indicate your interest on the registration page in the section titled "Optional Friday Night Outing".

25th Anniversary Show at the Buskirk Chumley

Our show will be held at the Buskirk-Chumley Theatre in downtown Bloomington. Please refer to the BCT website for parking/site information. There will only be beverages available on-site, so we suggest grabbing dinner beforehand. At this performance, we are not only celebrating 25 years, but also the departure of 4 seniors.

If you would like to join us on stage this year, please review the music in this folder to be thoroughly prepared to sing with our current group. We will invite alumni to sing these pieces with us at the show and plan to run through them together at the mixer.

Farewell Brunch

As a final farewell, brunch is being catered in the same union space we utilized on Friday. Please take a look at the menu below. GF = gluten-free and DF = dairy-free. Additionally, there will be coffee, orange juice, and ice water. If you would like to attend brunch, there is a fee of $18. Family/plus ones ARE welcome, but you will be charged per plate. So for example, if you register two people, you will pay $36.

25th Anniversary Merchandise

This link will close on MARCH 14TH and will not reopen. We will not order extras so get your orders in early! Once it's closed, it's closed for good.

We will not ship! If you are unable to make the reunion and still want merch, you can ask fellow alumni to pick up your order. Anything not picked up will be sold off at our show.
Keep in mind that due to the nature of the form and bulk order, if your selected items do not get at least 24 orders, they will be canceled and you'll be refunded. Be prepared.
Note also that you'll agree to pay between a certain dollar amount for your order; meaning the cost of your t-shirt may fluctuate up or down $5 depending on how many people order it.
Feel free to order extra items for friends and family!

Silent Auction

We will also be conducting a silent auction throughout the anniversary weekend to help raise funds for the current group. Any and all auction items are welcome! If you are unable to contribute financially and could donate your time to create a basket, that is welcomed. We also urge you to use your networks if possible, especially those who won’t be at the event and want to support Ladies First in some capacity.

A few ideas to get the creative juices flowing:
- Tickets to a concert or sports outing

- IU or Ladies First memorabilia
- Themed baskets

What if I can't make it?

If you are unable to join us this year, we kindly ask that you consider donating. The pandemic took a toll on all, but as an a cappella group, not having live performances was detrimental to our survival. There was a time when the future of Ladies First was not guaranteed. This anniversary, we are attempting to set the group up for success for the coming years, and finally get out of our 2020 financial slump. Anything helps, and we appreciate your generosity greatly.
